Alex Thomas

Business Owner & Senior Mechanic

With over a decade of hands-on expertise at Pacific Plaza Automotive, Alex began his journey in the Automotive Industry in 2015 as an apprentice and has since risen to own the business and lead mechanic alongside his wife MJ. Known around the workshop for his friendly, and confident demeanor, Alex brings enthusiasm and precision to every job—from routine servicing to complex diagnostics.


When he’s not under the bonnet, you'll find Alex tearing up the track—whether it’s drifting his falcon at Raleigh Raceway or smashing through in the local demolition derbies. In fact, he’s proudly represented Pacific Plaza Automotive at the Wauchope show for 4 years in a row, as well as being a sponsor.

MJ Thomas

Business Owner & Administration

MJ is our office lady, and the one who keeps the business & workshop running from behind the scenes. Alongside her husband Alex, MJ has been an owner of Pacific Plaza Automotive since 2021. You will usually see her in or around the office on a Tuesday. As she has a passion for the Dental world MJ has been working between the 2 industries for many years. 


When MJ is not at the workshop, or at the Dental Practice she has preparing to welcome their first baby into the world! Pacific Plaza's newest apprentice arriving August 2025.

Bailey Webber

Mechanic

Bailey has been part of the Pacific Plaza Automotive team since 2021. After a long 4 years, he has progressed to become a fully qualified mechanic! He brings expertise, care, and flair to every job—whether it’s routine servicing, 4WD's, or replacing a new clutch.


A true car enthusiast, Bailey loves everything on four wheels. On weekends you'll find him drifting or tinkering on his own rides, always chasing that perfect tune or adrenaline rush.


With a friendly and fun attitude, Bailey not only fixes your cars—he also connects with customers, making the workshop feel like a community.

Joel

Apprentice Mechanic 

Joel has been a valued member of Plaza Auto for two years, bringing a passion for cars that’s been with him long before joining the team. Now thriving in his apprenticeship, he’s building solid skills under the guidance of our experienced mechanics.


A big fan of European engineering, Joel especially adores Peugeots—drawn to their stylish designs and reliability. On his days off, he’s happiest diving into the engine bay, learning the quirks and craftsmanship that make these cars tick.


Friendly and eager, Joel brings infectious enthusiasm to every job—whether he’s assisting with diagnostics, routine servicing or just chatting about his latest Peugeot find. His dedication and upbeat spirit make him a joy to work with, both for customers and the team.
